U.S. State Department: Javelin systems were delivered to Ukraine few weeks ago

The supplies of the modern Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine took place a few weeks ago. Heather Nauert, the spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State claimed this, RBK-Ukraina reports.

“I know that many of you were highly interested in the sale of the Javelin missiles to Ukraine. I can tell that it was one of the issues lying at the desk for a long time until we announce in 2017 that the president decided to provide Javelin complexes to Ukraine. They were supplied a few weeks ago”, - she noted.

Nauert also emphasized that this issue was deliberately not disclosed and people who kept it in secret “did a good job”.

As previously reported, on April 30 it became known that the United States had already delivered Javelin to Ukraine. The official representative of the State Department confirmed this information in response to a request from Radio Liberty. According to the agreements, Ukraine received 210 missiles and the corresponding portable launch complexes.
