A call for "military service" was announced in the "DNR"

The leader of the "DNR" actually announced the call of the Donbass inhabitants to "military service" in bandit formations. This follows from his "decree" on the creation of "draft commissions" as of March 1, traditionally promulgated with great delay.

The "document" requires "from April 1 to June 15, 2018 to organize the work of draft commissions, to assign duties for medical examination to the commission of citizens who are recruited for military service and the adoption of one of the decisions..."

The first in the list of possible decisions is the decision "on conscription to military service".

Theoretically, according to the results of medical examination, potential recruits may be exempted from conscription due to health issues. However, this option will affect a few - the primary responsibility of the draft commissions is the "control of medical examination of citizens, who (previously - OstroV) were exempted from military service due to health reasons".

The leader of the "DNR" did not mention the timing of the call, therefore, everyone recognized as fit for military service can be sent to the frontline at any moment. The urgency of the activities can be indicated by the fact that the "decree" requires "local authorities, enterprise managers to ensure the implementation of measures to organize preparations for the recruitment of citizens for military service". Head physicians of all hospitals in the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast were ordered "to hold medical examination of citizens subject to conscription out of turn".

The "decree" on the creation of draft commissions refers to a certain law "On Military Duty and Military Service" adopted by the “People's Council of the DNR” on February 13, 2015. It clearly states that "the duty of citizens of the Donetsk People's Republic is to perform military service and undergo military training". It is noted that "military service is carried out by citizens on conscription and on a voluntary basis". But the "law" stated that "within their competence, the bodies of internal affairs are obliged to search for citizens evading military service or military training... (The objectors - OstroV) are held accountable in accordance with the legislation of the Donetsk People's Republic".
