Acting Minister of Ecology dismissed for complicity in the theft of the "Kyoto money"

Acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Sergey Sorokin was dismissed today for attempted embezzlement of means of the Kyoto Protocol. It isreported by the press service of the CMU.
"According to the results of the investigation concerning the attempt to commit a crime of theft of 550 million hryvnia of the Kyoto Protocol money, the government has dismissed Acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Sergey Kurykin, director of the department of climate policy of the Ministry Vladislav Vezhnin and director of Ukrekoinvest SE Alexey Koval," - said the statement.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk asked the head of the NABU to bring this loud corruption case to an end and the responsible officials should be sentenced.

The head of the National Agency for Civil Service Affairs reported at the government meeting on Wednesday, January 27th on the results of the official investigation on behalf of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding the attempt to commit a crime of theft of 550 million hryvnia of the Kyoto Protocol fund, which planned to be spent on the purchase of LED devices.
Yatsenyuk noted that thanks to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police, it was found out that the Agrotehbud company which had won the tender for the purchase of new lighting devices had all the features of the fictitious one. Before the tender, he said, the company changed its director, founder and chief accountant: "Director, founder and chief accountant of the company was Altunin A., who lives in Donetsk, 5 Prospekt Mira. In the ATO area."
