The residents of the occupied Donetsk region were warned about possible malfunctions of the already inoperable separatist mobile operator Phoenix. This is stated in the message of the fake "Ministry of Communications".

It notes that "modernization of Donetsk’s own radio network will be carried out".

"The works will affect the services of voice mobile communication in the standard 2G (GSM 900/1800) and packet data transfer using GPRS and EDGE technologies. Some subscribers may experience short-term malfunctions of Phoenix services", - the message says.

It was recommend to reboot a mobile phone for re-registration in a network.

These works will be held from April 12 to 13. The occupation authorities assure that "this will not affect all other cities" of the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast.

As previously reported, on January 11, Vodafone (MTS) mobile communication was disconnected throughout the occupied territory of Donbass. It did not appear in the "DNR" up to now. In this context, the demand for starter packages of the previously unpopular Phoenix separatist operator, created on the basis of equipment stolen from Kyivstar, has sharply increased. In a short time, more than 100 thousand new subscribers joined it. However, Phoenix was not able to support the sharply increased traffic and provide an appropriate level of communication.
