Borodai told how he kindled the "Russian spring" and instructed the militants

Russian political strategist Alexander Borodai, who oversaw the separatist rebellion in the Donetsk oblast, admitted that the "Russian spring" was brought from Russia. He told about the financial and organizational support of militants from the Russian side in an interview with the propagandist publication Ukraina.ru.

Borodai said that during the 2014 events in the Crimea, he was an assistant to the leader of the Crimean separatists Sergei Aksenov.

Then he moved to Rostov-on-Don, where detachments of Russian mercenaries had already been formed to invade Ukraine.

Borodai, by his own admission, took an active part in preparing a diversionary raid of Igor Girkin (Strelkov) to Sloviansk. "I visited Strelkov in Rostov for inspection purposes two days before he crossed the Ukrainian border, and then visited him in Sloviansk again".

The political scientist told that he "instructed" Girkin, and "provided the financing channel".

He also confirmed the fact of supporting the destabilization of the situation in the east of Ukraine by Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeev. Answering the question, if is it possible to consider that "before Vladislav Surkov, Malofeev and Sergei Aksenov were the curators of the LDNR", Borodai answered affirmatively. "Now it's no secret that Aksenov and Malofeev have made their serious contribution to the Russian spring phenomenon", - he said.

Borodai came to Donetsk for the first time on the eve of the fake "referendum" on the formation of the terrorist "DNR", that is, on May 11, 2014. He arrived with an armed group, illegally crossed the border. Soon a stranger to Donbass became a "prime minister" of the then still unoccupied territories.

At the same time, Borodai admits that Donetsk was not 100% ready to support the "Russian spring". "There was still an atmosphere of uncertainty in the city. It was not yet entirely ours. The forces, which created the DNR, did not yet fully understand what they were creating and why".

Proceeding from this, Borodai began to solve the problem of completely subordinating Donetsk and the region to himself. "My task was to drag the control system into the DNR system, which I was doing all May", - he said. The Russian militant said that at a meeting with then the Donetsk mayor Alexander Lukyanchenko, he told him that "the DNR is Russia. Russia has really come here for long".

"I did not see any significant resistance", - he assesses the activities of local authorities.
