Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration invites French investors to invest in economy of part of region

Chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi invites French businessmen to invest in the economy of part of the region that is now controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. He wrote about this on his Facebook.

In Avdiivka, he talked with the delegation of the French Republic led by chairman of the France-Ukraine Group of the National Assembly of the French Republic Valerie Von-Muntean.

"We discussed the issues of reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories and their economic potential. I invited French businessmen to invest in the economy of the Donetsk oblast - a part that is now controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, and then to the rest of the region - after its liberation. The cooperation could be productive, in particular, in chemical industry, agriculture, production of building materials, etc.", - Zhebrivskyi noted.

During the meeting with the French delegation, he spoke about the general situation on the part of the Donbass controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, restoration of housing along the line of demarcation, support to settlers and restoration of infrastructure.

The parliamentarians also visited the "Mayorske" checkpoint, where they had an opportunity to see how civilians cross the so-called line of demarcation, and those areas of Avdiivka, which are constantly being shelled by pro-Russian militants.

"We also said that without the closure of the Ukraine-Russia border, this conflict will continue as much as Putin wants, so together with the world community, we should make him fulfill the international obligations and leave Ukraine", - Zhebrivskyi wrote.
