Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko asks the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors to consider removal of Nazar Kholodnytskyi from the office of Deputy Prosecutor General, SAPO's head. Lutsenko reported this on his Facebook.
"In the framework of criminal proceedings, which are investigated by a joint group of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine on the facts obtained during the investigation, which are declassified as required, the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors (QDCP) has received disciplinary complaints with the signatures of the Prosecutor General and the NABU chief on disciplinary offenses committed by Kholodnytskyi", - he wrote.
Lutsenko noted that in his motion, he asked the QDCP to consider the dismissal of Nazar Kholodnytskyi as Deputy Prosecutor General - SAPO's head.
As previously reported, on March 20, hidden means of listening were discovered on the outer surface of aquarium in the private office of head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Nazar Kholodnytskyi. Later, the media reported that the office of anti-corruption prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi had been listened in by the NABU with the consent of the Prosecutor General. In turn, the director of the NABU denied all accusations and advised journalists to ask the SAPO's head about what "he found there in his office". He stressed that he would not allow "any of the authorities to take control of what is happening in the NABU and SAPO".
Also, information that Kholodnytskyi intends to resign in the near future because of health problems appeared in the media. Kholodnytskyi himself denied the rumors, saying that a "well-balanced media campaign" was organized concerning his resignation.
Later, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko confirmed that head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Nazar Kholodnytskyi was listened in his private office.
