The Cabinet intends to postpone gas price increase for the population until summer - media

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine postponed raising the gas price for the population for another two months. This is reported by Dzerkalo Tyzhnia with a reference to Ukrainski Novyny.

In particular, the government plans to extend special requirement for Naftohaz Ukrainy and Oblgaz to supply gas to the population and heating providers without changing current prices until June 1, 2018.

The special obligations expire on April 1. According to the source, the Cabinet of Ministers can take the corresponding decision at the next meeting on Wednesday, March 28.

Accordingly, the gas price for supplies to the population and heating providers will not change until June 1 and will remain at the level of $188,04 per thousand cubic meters. The price for the end user, including VAT and other charges, will be $264,52 per thousand cubic meters.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko said that there would be no increase in gas prices for the population in the current heating season.
