The Commander of the Joint Forces called the liberation of the occupied Donbass the main goal

The commander of the Joint forces, General-Lieutenant Serhiy Nayev, called the liberation of the occupied territories of Donbass from Russian invaders his main goal. He said this in an interview with the Ukrinform agency.

"I clearly realize that it is a very big responsibility, that I have to fulfill the main task assigned to the commander of the Joint forces, namely, the liberation of the occupied territories of Donbass from the invaders, who came to us from the Russian Federation. They have seized and are currently holding the territory in the east of our state under the occupation", - he said.

Nayev noted that his first steps in the new position would be devoted to the proper planning of the operation of the Joint forces. "After arriving at the site of the operation, I will need to study the situation in detail, to evaluate it in all directions - military, law enforcement, civil-military administrations. I will have to take decisions that will allow the operation to achieve the best result in the shortest possible time and with the rational use of resources", - he added.
