The EU-Ukraine summit is scheduled for May this year. This was stated by the head of the department of the "Eastern Partnership" of the European Union Foreign Service Dirk Schuebel during the committee meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association in Brussels, - reports UNIAN.

"The next big event is the EU-Ukraine summit, which is preliminary scheduled for May," - said Schuebel.

When speaking about the agenda, the diplomat emphasized the priority of the deep free trade area between Ukraine and the EU.

"It was a very important step to opening markets but it also includes very comprehensive programmes for reforms related to economy and trade. If they are met, and it will undoubtedly be a hard work, they will provide more security and stability for investors," - he stressed.
