The presidential bill on the creation of the Anti-Corruption Court is inconsistent with the terms of the IMF program. This was said in an interview with Hromadske.ua by head of mission agency of the Fund in Ukraine Jost Ljungman.

He noted that the creation of independent anti-corruption court is a key requirement for the next stage of the audit, which should determine whether Ukraine will receive the next tranche from the IMF.

"What really matters is the need to create an independent Anti-Corruption Court, recruit independent judges with an unblemished reputation and launch the work of this court without delay. The bill has a broad consensus (among international partners and donors) - the document in its present form does not provide the above-mentioned results, it is inconsistent with the requirements of the IMF program, as well as with the recommendations of the Venice Commission. Now it is necessary to take a step back and ensure the creation of legislation that will strengthen the successful fight against corruption among the officials", - he said.

The official calls higher gas prices, privatization process, pension and land reforms among other requirements of the program.
