An employee of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine was sentenced to six years in prison for co-operating with the terrorist "DNR". This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

"By the verdict of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv on February 6, a Ukrainian citizen was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization), Part 1, Article 328 (disclosure of state secrets) and was sentenced to six years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for three years, as well as with the deprivation of military rank", - the statement said.

It is noted that he, being an employee of the Foreign Intelligence Service, from September 2014 to March 2015, assisted militants by collecting and handing over to the representative of the "DNR" information concerning the activities of the Foreign Intelligence Service, including those making state secrets.

The procedural management was carried out by the Prosecutor General's Office and the pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Investigation Department of the SBU.
