OSCE notes decline of combat activity in Donbass

Last week, the number of cease-fire violations fell by 25% compared to the previous week. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the OSCE SMM Alexander Hug today at a briefing in Kyiv, - OstroV’s correspondent reports.

"Last week, the OSCE SMM noted that the number of violations of the ceasefire regime was reduced by 25%, compared with the figures for the week before, and the daily number of violations of the ceasefire regime ranged from 200 to 1000", - he said.

He also reported that the OSCE SMM recorded a reduction in the use of heavy weapons, which are prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

"The SMM also recorded 80% less explosions from the use of weapons, which should be disengaged according to the Minsk agreements. The mission recorded 33 cases of using such weapons", - Hug said.
