Interpol restricts temporarily public access to information about the search for the former president Viktor Yanukovych. This was stated by head of the working apparatus of the Ukrainian Interpol Bureau Vasyl Nevolya on January 22nd, - reports the press service of the National Police.

"Viktor Yanukovych and his lawyers have filed a complaint for rescission of the international search in the court of the French Lyon and the Commission for monitor the of Interpol’s files. At the time of the complaint consideration the Secretariat-General of the Commission decided to restrict public access to information about the search for Yanukovych," – said Nevolya.

He assured that the information about Yanukovich was not deleted from the register of Interpol but only temporarily removed from public access.

According to him, Yanukovych’s files continue to exist in the closed Interpol database and only authorized persons have access to it.
