Head of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde met with President Petro Poroshenko in Davos and "discussed the latest economic developments and prospects for Ukraine". This is said in her statement on the results of the meeting, LIGABusinessInform reports.

"Ukraine should take advantage of the favorable external environment to advance reforms and transition from stabilization to growth, which is necessary to improve the standards of living", - Lagarde said.

The IMF head assured that the Fund is ready to continue supporting Ukraine jointly with other international partners.

On January 19, the head of the IMF's communications department, Gerry Rice, said that some provisions of the president's bill on the Anti-Corruption Court needed revision. Lagarde had to personally talk with Poroshenko about this on the World Economic Forum.

After the meeting, Poroshenko said that "Ukraine confirms its readiness to continue fruitful cooperation" with the IMF.
