ATO HQ reports about militants’ plans to shell settlements on both sides of the line of demarcation

The headquarters of the ATO declares the plans of the militants on January 18 to shoot residential areas in the occupied and free territory of Donbass to discredit the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is reported by the press center of the ATO headquarters.

"The enemy plans to fire on his own positions and residential neighborhoods of settlements both in the controlled and uncontrolled territory of Ukraine", - the intelligence service said.

According to operational information, on the day of the meeting of the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk (January 18 – Ed.), the enemy plans to "cynically shell with heavy weapons their own positions and residential neighborhoods of settlements on both sides of the line of demarcation".

The headquarters state that the plans of the militants are aimed at discrediting Ukraine and its Armed Forces not only in the eyes of the world community, but also at increasing hatred on the part of the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories. This, according to the headquarters, testifies to the interest of the enemy in the further aggravation of the conflict.
