One Ukrainian soldier killed, two wounded in the Donbass over the past day

One Ukrainian soldier was killed, two more were injured as a result of shelling by militants in the east of Ukraine on Thursday, - the press center of the ATO headquarters reports.

In total, the militants violated the ceasefire 16 times for the past day.

"If necessary, Ukrainian soldiers gave the aggressor a reasonable fire response. Unfortunately, as a result of enemy shelling, one soldier of the ATO forces was killed, two more were injured", - the report said.

In the Luhansk direction in the afternoon, an enemy sniper shot towards the ATO forces near Krymske, and about midnight, the militants opened fire from mortars of various calibers around this settlement. Illegal armed formations disrupted the armistice near Svitlodarsk from grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns.

Pisky was the hottest in the Donetsk direction. At first, the militants fired at servicemen of the AFU from 82-caliber mortars, grenade launchers and machine guns, and then ratcheted up the pressure and used tank armament and 120-mm mortars. Moreover, the enemy fired near Vodiane in Pryazovia from heavy mortar. In other areas of defence, it was unquiet on the outskirts of of Avdiivka and near Kamianka, where illegal armed formations repeatedly fired on Ukrainian fortifications from mortars and infantry weapons.
