President Petro Poroshenko has proposed increasing the minimum wage to $150. He stated this during the II All-Ukrainian Forum of Unified Communities "Life-Changing Initiatives", - Ukrinform reports.

"I would like to thank the government and the prime minister that there is a respective response to my appeal in the draft state budget and after the improvement of the investment climate and budget revenues, we will be able to analyze the results of half a year or three quarters and make a decision on increasing the minimum wage to $150", - Poroshenko stated.

He recalled that the size of the single social contribution was reduced two years ago.

"And now we can talk about the objective and obvious effect. Do you remember how they criticized us at that time, that this will affect businesses and bring them into the shadows? On the contrary, it brought them out of the shadows. And this decision, which was made earlier this year (to increase the minimum wage) from $60 to $120, is an unprecedented decision in Ukraine. This is the right decision, and I think it should be continued", - the head of state said.
