Ukrainian contractors will get a salary higher than the average for the first time in the history – Poltorak

Military contractors will receive a salary higher than the average for the first time in the history of Ukraine. This was announced by Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak at the today's Cabinet meeting, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.

"Despite the difficult economic conditions, payment for military contractors will be higher than the average salary in general in Ukraine for the first time in the history of our state," - he said.

According to the Minister, it will strengthen the armed forces and defense capability of Ukraine, as well as involve the military with "scarce qualifications" in the contract service.

S.Poltorak gave the example that if now the salary is 2341 hryvnia, then it will increase to 7000 hryvnia.
