More than 1300 foreign citizens have been prohibited from entering Ukraine due to a visit to the occupied territory of Crimea in violation of the law. This is reported on Facebook of State Border Guard Service.

"Since the beginning of the year, more than 2 thousand administrative protocols have been drawn up in accordance with Art. 204-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine for violating the order of entry to and withdrawal from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Furthermore, more than 1300 decisions were made to prohibit foreigners from entering Ukraine for such violations, including almost a hundred artists and cultural figures", - the report said.

Also, according to the results of monitoring, at the present time, more than 800 people, who may have been in the occupied Crimea, were identified.

The department reminds that under the law, in case of violation of the rules of crossing the administrative border from the Crimea by foreigners, they are not allowed to enter Ukraine and a decision is made to ban entry to Ukraine.

Violation of the entry procedure into the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea through the checkpoints, closed by the Government of Ukraine, depending on the circumstances, provides for criminal (Art. 322-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and administrative (Art. 204-1 and Art. 204-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine) liability .
