Ukraine will lose the opportunity to receive a tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union of 600 million euros, if in the near future it does not fulfill a number of requirements, said the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Hugues Mingarelli, in an interview with Yevropeiska Pravda.

Mingarelli explained that there were four requirements that Ukraine failed to fulfill: lifting the ban on roundwood exports, launching an automatic check on e-declarations, the NBU credit registry law and checking information on beneficial owners of companies.

The ambassador noted that there is a deadline to meet these conditions, "and it expires in the next few days".

"This period cannot be prolonged, and if in a few days the European Commission finds that these requirements have not been met - the money will be lost for Ukraine", - Mingarelli said.

He noted that one of the criteria for obtaining a tranche was to restore the payment of pensions to residents of Donbass.

"Progress has been made in this issue, and we assess it positively, this criterion has been fulfilled to some extent", - he added.

Earlier, in July, during a visit to Kyiv, the vice-president of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said that in order to receive the third tranche of macro-financial assistance from the EU in December, Ukraine should fulfill all the conditions in October.
