Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko does not support the idea of breaking off diplomatic relations with Russia, Ivan Vinnyk, a deputy of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, said. According to the Pryamy channel, the deputy made the statement after his faction met at the Presidential Administration on Wednesday night.

"The president does not support the idea of breaking off relations with the Russian Federation. This idea, which I proposed to the parliamentary committee, remains under consideration by the committee", - Vinnyk said.

The Russian media reported earlier that the draft law on ensuring Ukraine's sovereignty over the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass, which the Verkhovna Rada prepares for second reading, could include the provision on breaking off diplomatic relations with Russia. Allegedly, this item will be additionally included in bill No. 7163 "On the peculiarities of the state policy for securing the state sovereignty of Ukraine over the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts", which the parliament should consider on November 16.

On November 8, the head of the National Security and Defence Committee, People's Front faction MP Serhiy Pashynsky, said that the bill on "reintegration of Donbass" would not contain a provision on breaking off diplomatic relations with Russia.
