The U.S. mission to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has called the Russian convoys with the so-called "humanitarian aid" a weighty evidence of the Russian Federation's participation in the Donbass conflict. This was stated at a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization in Vienna (Austria) by Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the USA to the OSCE Harry Kamien, - UNIAN reports.

"Weighty evidence of Russia's involvement in the conflict persists", - Kamien said.

In this regard, the diplomatic official noted that on October 26, a convoy of 17 trucks crossed the internationally recognized border from Russia to Ukraine without proper control or customs inspection by the Ukrainian authorities.

"These convoys clearly violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and fundamental international humanitarian principles are not being observed", - the diplomatic official stressed.

He also noted that on October 19, camera pictures of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission discovered the deployment of military trucks and trailers near railway facilities in the territory, controlled by Russian-controlled forces. Kamien stressed that the ongoing Russian campaign, aimed at preventing the access to SMM for monitoring the Donbass, including the Russian-Ukrainian border, prevents the mission from carrying out its tasks in accordance with the mandate.

"We once again call for providing the SMM with unimpeded access to the entire territory of Ukraine, in full accordance with the mandate of the mission, including the internationally recognized border", - the diplomatic official stated.
