President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with representatives of the German Chancellor and French President Christopher Heusgen and Jacques Audibert, - reports the press service of the head of state.

The meeting was held to follow agreements reached during the recent telephone conversation between the leaders of Ukraine, Germany and France.

President Poroshenko thanked the representatives of France and Germany for "very important role" they play in the de-occupation of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the continuation of the policy of non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea.

Parties expressed concern on numerous violations of the ceasefire by militants and hindering the work of the OSCE.

"The two sides also noted the progress made by Ukraine to fulfill the Minsk agreements and stressed the importance of coordination of actions for their full fulfillment. Among the key elements there were sustainable cease-fire, withdrawal of Russian troops and equipment, Ukraine’s regain of control over its border and release of the hostages,"- said the statement.
