The "LNR" militants have again wrecked the opening of checkpoint in Zolote village of the Luhansk oblast, - 112 Ukraine reports.

It is noted that the Ukrainian border guards took their stands at the checkpoint today, but the signal about the readiness to pass people did not come from the illegal military formations.

"According to the unofficial information, it occurred due to the technical problems and poor status of the asphalt covering. Whether they will be ready to open the corridor via the demarcation line in the near future or not is still unknown", - the correspondent said.

The information resources of the militants confirmed that the opening of the checkpoint did not take place on October 20.

As previously reported, the first vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group Iryna Herashchenko reported on Facebook that "Zolote" checkpoint in the Luhansk oblast will be opened in the near future. Thanks to our requirements, at last, "Zolote" checkpoint will be opened in a few days. This will facilitate the movement for thousands of people", - she noted.

Earlier, the Tripartite Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in the Donbass supported the initiative of the SMM OSCE head Ertugrul Apakan about the opening of "Zolote" checkpoint in the Luhansk oblast on October 20.

The Ukrainian party tried to open the checkpoint in Zolote on March 31, 2016. However, immediately after the beginning of functioning of this road corridor and the crossing of the line of delimitation by the citizens, it became obvious that representatives of the illegal armed formations are not going to let vehicles and pedestrians through their checkpoint, which is located at a distance of up to 1.5 km from "Zolote" checkpoint. Later, representatives of the illegal armed formations constantly ignored all decisions of the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk on the opening of "Zolote" checkpoint.
