SBU officially accused the Russian soldier Agieyev of terrorism and submitted the case to court

The Security Service of Ukraine has submitted an accusation of terrorism against the Russian Viktor Agieyev, who was detained in the antiterrorist operation zone, to court. This is stated in the report of the department's press service.

It notes that investigators of the SBU submitted criminal proceeding's materials against the Russian serviceman and saboteur Viktor Agieyev to court. It is reported that the accusations are directed to another two "LNR" fighters.

The actions of suspects are qualified under Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (creation of terrorist group or terrorist organization) and Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of arms, ammunition and explosives) of the Criminal Code, which provide for 8-15 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that Agieyev joined the militants in March 2017 and served as a machine gunner of a separate reconnaissance troop.

Two residents of Alchevsk and Sievierodonetsk were members of the bandit groups of Paviel Driomov and the so-called "Cossack regiment named after Platov" since 2014.

As previously reported, the Russian Viktor Agieyev was detained by the Ukrainian military on June 24, 2017 in the Luhansk oblast during the liquidation of sabotage and reconnaissance group of the "LNR" fighters. During the interrogation, the Russian called himself a contract serviceman of the Russian army, later his mother also confirmed it, saying that in May 2017, Agieyev was awarded the title of corporal. The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation states that Viktor Agieyev has never been on volunteer military service in Russia.
