The situation in the ATO area escalated. This was announced by the speaker of the Presidential Administration on the ATO Andrey Lysenko today at the briefing, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.

"Yesterday the situation in the east of Ukraine escalated. The enemy used heavy weapons repeatedly, prohibited by the Minsk agreements, in particular 82-mm mortars and armored vehicles," - he said.

According to him, the ATO forces were forced to open fire in response to stop the provocations of the enemy.
