Ukraine agreed with its Western partners that Minsk agreements cannot be fulfilled in the interpretation of the Russian side. This was announced today at a press conference by an international lawyer, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, the judge of the International Criminal Court (2001-2005), the representative of Ukraine to the UN Council on Human Rights (2006-2010) Volodymyr Vasylenko, UNIAN reports.

"The Minsk agreements were adopted in a very difficult situation, they played a positive role, although on the other hand, Russia managed to insert certain provisions there, the implementation of which would undermine the statehood of Ukraine in general and the activity of Ukraine as an independent subject of international law" , - he declared.

"Today we managed to reach understanding with our Western allies that the Minsk agreements cannot be fulfilled mechanically, as Putin or the Russian pleases", - Vasylenko said.
