Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with members of the Security Council, who discussed Ukraine and Syria.

"Vladimir Putin held a briefing with permanent members of the Security Council. They exchanged views on the current domestic and international agenda," - reported the press service of the Kremlin.

It is noted that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, a permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov participated in the meeting.
