Thirty-eight people died in Donetsk region, presumably from complications of the influenza. This is evidenced by a table posted on the website of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

Thus, according to released data, about 38 known died including one child.


At the same time, 17 people died in Kramatorsk, which is a temporary administrative center of Donetsk region. As previously reported, nearly all the dead sought medical help on 7-10th day from the onset of the disease and had a variety of chronic diseases and immune deficiencies. Among the reasons that led to serious complications the most frequent is late seeking for medical help, as well as failure to comply with the doctor's recommendations, self-treatment.

At the moment it is not known whether there is proof of a viral etiology of the disease.
