Ukraine demands to confirm the role of Russia as an aggressor in the UN Security Council resolution on peacekeepers in the Donbass. This is reported by Russian Kommersant with reference to the sources.

As the newspaper notes, the Ukrainian party has submitted its draft resolution on peacekeepers, which demands to include the wording either "peace-enforcement operation" or "peace restoration operation". From the point of view of Kyiv, this will confirm "the role of Russia as an aggressor", - the newspaper writes.

The draft, prepared by Ukraine, also says that the deployment of peacekeepers' mission will take at least six months.

According to the interlocutor of newspaper, the Ukrainian party prepared this "counter-project" for the UN Security Council only after the Russian initiative.

A source, close to the UN secretariat, confirmed to the newspaper that earlier, Ukraine had not placed such documents for consideration by the UN Security Council.

The Security Council has two draft resolutions on peacekeepers in the Donbass now – Ukrainian and Russian.
