President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko sees no signs that Russia is ready to withdraw from the Donbass and the Crimea. He said this today during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, OstroV’s correspondent reports.

"The main threat from the Russian side is still military. For now, there are no signs that Moscow would be prepared to withdraw from the Donbass and the Crimea, but there is more evidence of its preparation for the offensive war on a continental scale. For example, Russian-Belarusian exercises Zapad-2017, although, in my opinion, it would be more appropriate to call them "Anti-Zapad" (Anti-West – OstroV)", - he said.

Poroshenko noted that because of this, control was strengthened at all sections of the state border.

"It may happen that new strike groups of Russian troops will be established to invade Ukraine under the guise of strategic command exercises. 7000 platforms with soldiers and equipment are approaching our borders. And unfortunately, there is no guarantee that after the completion of exercises it all will return back to Russia", - the head of state said.
