Four residents of the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast were sentenced to long prison terms for alleged espionage. This is stated in the message of the so-called "military tribunal of the DNR".

It notes that in August the "court sentenced four residents for terrorist activities and espionage in favor of Kyiv".

On August 11, "sentences were passed to two residents of Donetsk - a man and a woman". Allegedly, they "handed over information not subject to disclosure to the Ukrainian special services". Both were sentenced to 14 years in prison.

On August 23, a native of Donetsk was sentenced to 10 years in prison on the same charge.

On August 18, one of the citizens of Ukraine was charged with a crime on the fake article "Being trained for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities". He was imprisoned for 15 years.

As previously reported, the militants regularly detain residents of uncontrolled territories, presenting absurd accusations of espionage and sabotage. The guilty verdicts are delivered by self-proclaimed "courts".
