Obama stressed the need for elections in Donbass according to the OSCE standards in the conversation with Putin

US President Barack Obama emphasized the need for the local elections in Donbas, in accordance with the standards of Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the OSCE in the conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Paytt, - informs Interfax-Ukraine.

"Clear message on the need for elections in Donbass to meet OSCE / ODIHR standards. No fake elections", - wrote G.Paytt on his Twitter account.

He also posted a message of the White House on the telephone conversation between US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which, among other things, it was noted that the US leader stressed the importance of local elections in Donbass in accordance with the standards of the ODIHR / OSCE.
