The leader of the so-called "DNR" Alexander Zakharchenko awarded Donetsk with an "honorary title Hero City". This is reported by the separatist news agency DAN.

"Today Donetsk is awarded with an "honorary title Hero City", - Zakharchenko said during the round table meeting of the "integration committee Russia - Donbass" in Donetsk.

"The residents of Donetsk are honored in the first place, that is the proud soul of Donetsk", - said the leader of the militants, with whom the war came to the city.
