The Russian Central Bank has allowed pawn shops to lend money to residents of CDDLO with fake passports, issued in pseudo-republics. This is reported by Life Russian propaganda media.

It is noted that the Association for Development of Pawn Shops had earlier sent a letter to the Central Bank with a request to clarify whether it can be done or not.

"The Chief Directorate does not see any obstacles in lending money… in case of appeal of individuals with passports, issued in the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic", — the regulator said.

According to the vice-chairman of the association Maria Pospelova, Russian pawn shops have received tens of thousands of requests from refugees from CDDLO for loans since the occupation of Ukrainian territory. It is noted that the citizens had "passports", issued by the occupation "authorities" in the "DNR" and the "LNR".

"No one will give exact statistics on how much loans were provided, because it was definitely illegal until February 2017", — M.Pospelova noted.

According to her, the appeals were generally sent from the border regions or from those regions that received refugees massively: Rostov oblast, Krasnodar Krai and Kurgan oblast.
