The format of anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine may change in case of escalation of the situation. This was stated by the chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko in an interview with Liga.

"At the moment, the format of operation in the ATO zone meets the existing threats. In future, in case of escalation, I think the format of this operation will change", – Muzhenko said.

He also said that in case of escalation of the situation in the Donbass, first of all, reservists will be called up.

"They already know what units they are going to, they get thorough training. We have intentionally increased the time for preparing reservists: if last year, it took 15 days for this category, then this year, it is 30 days – half the time in training centers and half with their units. In future, in case of escalation of the situation, this will concern the calling up of the mobilization reserve as well", - Muzhenko said.

According to him, more than 200 thousand people were mobilized to the Armed Forces for six waves of mobilization. Almost all of them have already been duty-free. Those who have state their willingness to stay in the Armed Forces – have concluded a contract.
