The creator of the terrorist Vostok Battalion Alexander Khodakovsky said that the separatists managed to seize power in Donetsk in 2014 due to the treachery of personnel of the local special forces of the MIA and the Internal Troops. He wrote about this in a social network.

According to the militant, there were enough forces in the Donetsk oblast to prevent the victory of the Russian Spring, but "I and my close comrades… had cleared the city of the presence of Ukrainian security officials who refused to follow us".

"There were a lot of them, but the preliminary work with them had its effect. The current Minister of the MIA of the DNR Alexey Dikiy managed to retain almost the entire militia special forces, I focused on the internal troops, and after capturing the commander of the Eastern Territorial Command of the Internal Troops, I captured their headquarters, as a result of which special forces of the internal troops had joined our ranks", - Khodakovsky boasts.

"We forced all the other units of the Internal Troops out of Donetsk by joint efforts in a short time, having completely taken the city under control", - he sums up.
