Militants were trying to battle through the area near Krasnohorivka in the morning: 4 Ukrainian fighters were killed

The militants attempted an offensive near Krasnohorivka, which resulted in the death of four Ukrainian servicemen on Thursday morning, July 20. This was reported by the speaker of the Ministry of Defence on ATO issues Andriy Lysenko at a press conference in Kyiv, - the correspondent of OstroV reports.

"Today, after 4 a.m., Russian occupation forces opened a powerful fire from mortars, 122 mm artillery, tanks and Grad-P systems near Krasnohorivka. According to preliminary information, the ATO forces suffered losses: 4 killed and 2 wounded", - he reported.

"There is information that militants attempted to go into the offensive, but we stopped them with dense fire, and the attempt of offensive was quelled", - Lysenko explained.

According to him, residential areas of Krasnohorivka suffered as a result of the shelling.

"Moreover, another of our soldiers died as a result of the shelling of Novgorodske in the Donetsk direction. In total, 14 enemy shelling, 8 of which were from heavy weapons, took place as of 11 a.m. on July 20 this year in the area of ATO", - Lysenko noted.
