President Petro Poroshenko declared that French President Emmanuel Macron supports the priority of the security issues reached in Minsk (Belarus), as well as the need for arming the special monitoring mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in the Donbass and its round-the-clock work. He stated this during a joint press conference with Macron in Paris, Ukrainski Novyny reported.
"A huge part of our negotiations was devoted to the situation in the east of Ukraine, counteracting Russian aggression against sovereign and independent Ukraine and the situation in the Crimea... We are confident that the security component of the Minsk accords must precede a political component. The OSCE's armed mission, the presence of the OSCE there 24 hours a day, is the basis for effective implementation of the Minsk agreements. I thank Mr. President (of France) for supporting this position", - he said.
