Petro Poroshenko Bloc urges the committees to consider the issue of Tymoshenko’s high treason

The Petro Poroshenko Bloc party is calling on NABU and SAP to check gas contracts with Russia, concluded by Yulia Tymoshenko in 2009. This was said by the head of the PPB Artur Herasymov today at the Conciliation Council of the Parliament, OstroV’s correspondent reports.

"We demand that the independent anti-corruption bodies - the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the anti-corruption prosecutor's office - immediately and publicly begin to investigate the situation and within two weeks inform the parliament about its results. We are calling on the Verkhovna Rada Committees on National Security and Defense, the anticorruption committee to immediately call the ex-prime minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko to the committee and consider the issue of high treason and the corruptive component of the gas contract of 2009", - he said.

The MP noted that because of these contracts, every Ukrainian actually "gave $700 to Putin".

"This contract is not just a crime against the Ukrainian people, it is a betrayal of the national interests of Ukraine, which nearly destroyed the country", - he said.

As previously reported, the Stockholm Arbitration rejected the demand of Gazprom for applying the "take or pay" principle in the contract for gas supplies, which was signed in 2009 by then prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
