The aggravation of the socio-political situation connected with the shutdown of the Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works is observed in the occupied Yenakiieve. This was reported by the People's Deputy, the coordinator of the "Information Resistance" Dmytro Tymchuk on his Facebook.

According to him, the management of the Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works has not paid severance wage to employees and pension contribution to the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

"Redundant workers rely on employment centers which are located in the territory under the control of Ukraine for registration, receiving unemployment benefits and further employment by occupation. At the same time, employment centers cannot charge amounts in accordance with the percentage of wage for the last year because the Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works has not paid the necessary contributions to the PFU, as a result of which employees of the enterprise will receive only minimal assistance in the amount of $45", - Tymchuk wrote.

At the same time, he states that "there is a growing dissatisfaction with the activities of the "DPR" among the representatives of this category of citizens and calls for holding protests in defence of their rights".

Militants have introduced the "external management" at 43 enterprises of Ukrainian jurisdiction in the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast since March 1. The Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works which is owned by the businessman Rinat Akhmetov has also entered the list of "grabbed" enterprises.

The occupation "authorities" of the certain districts of the Donetsk oblast (CDDO) announced in April the launch of a blast furnace at the "grabbed" Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works. At the same time, residents of the occupied city called this "show-off", not related to the real return to production.
