The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has instructed to provide residents in certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (CDDLO) and in the Crimea with the opportunity to obtain an international passport. He stated this during the meeting on preparing for visa-free travel entry into force, - 112 Ukraine reports.

"If there are objective problems with issuing passports to those who are on the occupied territory or in the Crimea we need to analyze our regulatory framework. We cannot leave them without passports. If we do not have the grounds to issue biometric passports to them, we need urgently, as agreed by the SBU with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to introduce a position that we can issue passports of old pattern for these citizens for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers. This issue should be resolved", - P.Poroshenko stated.
