The front-line Marinka took fire on Wednesday afternoon: 143 pupils were evacuated to the bomb shelter, - the department of communications of the National Police Main Headquarters in the Donetsk oblast reports.

Militants opened fire on the outskirts of the settlement, the area of the local hospital, the boarding school and the checkpoint at 12.20. It is quiet in the city now, the fire is stopped.

"143 pupils of school No 2 which is located only 500-800 meters from the firing area were evacuated to the bomb shelter for the period of mortar attack. A juvenile prevention officer was constantly with the children there. A school leaving party for pupils of the 4th classes had finished only a few minutes before the fire", - the statement said.

The school day is over for pupils, they are handed over to parents.

The chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi reports on his page in Facebook that, according to preliminary information, there is one hit in a private house on Prokofiev Street. The data are being determined.
