The State Department of the United States of America presented a budget plan for 2018, which proposed reducing the financial assistance to Ukraine by three times (in comparison with 2016). This is stated in the draft published on the website of the State Department, - RBK-Ukraina reports.

"More than $667 million was allocated in fiscal year 2016. In the next fiscal year 2018, which begins in September 2017, the State Department offered to limit payments to $203.78 million for the same purposes", - the document says.

It is about providing funding through such funds as USAID and others for projects in the fields of education, health, etc.

Earlier it was reported that the White House in its proposal on the budget of the United States of America proposes to give up granting gratuitous military assistance to a number of countries (including Ukraine), replacing it with lending.
