A breakfast of "friends of Ukraine" initiated by Poland will be held in Brussels

A power breakfast of "friends of Ukraine" will be held in Brussels on Monday subsequent to the EU Council on Foreign Affairs at the initiative of Poland in the framework of its chairmanship in the Visegrad Group. This was stated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, - Ukrinform reports.

It will be attended by the EU foreign ministers, the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and the head of Ukrainian diplomacy Pavlo Klimkin.

"The meeting will serve as the discussion on the situation in Ukraine", - is stressed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

It is reported that the prospects of the Eastern Partnership Project in the context of preparations for the EaP Summit on December 24 in Brussels will be among the main topics during the meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs. In particular, the ministers will discuss strengthening the capacity to counter threats, reforming the public sector, developing the transport and energy infrastructure of the EaP and EU countries, visa liberalization and business development.

Moreover, the ministers will discuss the implementation of the EU Global Strategy for Security and Defence, the purpose of which is to adequately prepare the EU for a fast response to threats and challenges in the field of security.
