Syria is under the Russian protectorate, all is commanded by the Russian general - the PACE deputies

Syria is actually under the protectorate of Russia. This was stated by the deputy of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from Spain Jordi XUCLÀ during the parliamentary hearings concerning the visit of the PACE President Pedro Agramunt and his two colleagues to Syria together with the delegation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

"Jaw-dropping confessions! Xuclà: "Syria is a Russian protectorate, we saw it", - the first vice speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the member of the Ukrainian delegation to the PACE Iryna Herashchenko reported on her Facebook.

According to Herashchenko, another PACE deputy from Belgium Alain DESTEXHE said that the Russian general is in charge of everything in the Syrian capital. "The deputy Destexhe says that he visited Aleppo and was struck by the humanitarian situation in the city and he quarreled with a Russian general there, who was in charge of everything! The Russian general, not the Syrian one - this friend of the Russian Federation clarified once again", - she wrote.

As previously reported, hearings regarding the visit of the President of PACE Pedro Agramunt and his two colleagues (Destexhe and Xuclà) to Syria together with the delegation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation began in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe today. The deputies demand the resignation of the president. Agramunt apologized for his scandalous visit to Syria during the hearings and said that he would make a statement regarding his status on Friday.
