The International Court of Justice (ICJ) says it will issue a ruling on April 19 on Kyiv’s bid to block Russia from sending money, weapons, and troops to eastern Ukraine. This is stated in the message of the court on Twitter, - UNIAN reports.

"Reminder: tomorrow at 15:00 (the Hague), the International Court of Justice will rule on the case "Ukraine vs. Russia (preventive measures)”. The hearing will be broadcasted on the UN website, at 16:00 Kyiv time”, - the message said.

At present, the demand of Ukraine in the UN International Court is that precautionary measures should be taken to prevent the deterioration of the situation in order to protect the civilian population in the temporarily occupied Crimea and the Donbass.

As previously reported, on March 6-9, hearing was held at the United Nations International Court in the Hague on the case of Ukraine vs. Russia. The lawsuit of Ukraine was filed January 16, 2017 in the International Court of Justice in order to hold Russia responsible for supporting terrorism in the east of Ukraine and discrimination of ethnic Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in the occupied Crimea. Ukraine filed a lawsuit based on Russia's violation of two conventions - the Convention on the Prevention of the Financing of Terrorism and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination - and requires the Russian Federation to stop financing illegal armed formations in the Donbass and restore the activities of the Mejlis in the occupied Crimea.
