The Office of the FSB in the Samara region together with the police detained allegedly an agent of Ukrainian intelligence, who studied military and transport infrastructure facilities of the "DPR", Rostov and Samara regions. This is reported by the Russian Interfax referring to a source in law enforcement agencies of the region.

According to the source, the detained citizen of Ukraine, born in 1990, allegedly serves in Special Reserve subdivision of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

"He arrived to the Samara region on March 19, 2017 and had been collecting information about the railway station in Samara for 6 hours. He was detained there", - the source said.

"During the interrogation the detainee also admitted visual reconnaissance of military and transport infrastructure objects in the DPR and Rostov region in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine", -  the source said.

Earlier the agent allegedly repeatedly received assignments to collect information about the military objects of the "DPR" (in Donetsk and Yasinovata), weapons and military equipment. He was specifically instructed to carry out photo and video shooting of the facts of the possible participation of Russian military in battles in the southeast of Ukraine.

According to the source, in October-December 2016, the detainee traveled to Rostov-on-Don for visual reconnaissance of the railway and automobile stations allegedly for the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.

"At the stations he collected information about the layout of the premises, the adjacent territory, the location and number of guards and policemen, surveillance cameras, all entrances and exits. The information was then passed on to the Ukrainian intelligence service", - the source reported.

The detained agent will be deported to the “DPR”, where local "investigators" will deal with him. "He will be sent to the DPR, formally - to Ukraine, in fact - not exactly to Ukraine, so that local investigators will figure out whether he simply looked at the location of the military units or, perhaps, was a gun pointer", - the source said.
