Working hours of checkpoints were extended for several hours because of the New Year and Christmas

Working hours of checkpoints were extended for a few hours before the New Year and Christmas holidays. It was reported by the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

As noted, significant increase in passenger and traffic flow is expected on the demarcation line before New Year and Christmas.

"In order to ensure proper admission of citizens who cross the line of demarcation working hours are extended for a few hours at all checkpoints. In addition, in all areas the number of border officers is increased and working places are provided. At present, the border guards at checkpoints are operating in emergency mode,"- said the statement.
